NAGRADE XLIX. mednarodni slikarski ex-tempore
Mednarodna strokovna žirija v sestavi:

Žirija je izvolila predsednika žirije Eugena Borkovski in potrdilo tajnico žirije Majdo Božeglav Japelj.
Na mednarodni slikarski ex-tempore se je prijavilo 245 udeležencev. Oddanih je bilo 219 likovnih del. Razstava je postavljena v prostorih Mestne galerije Piran. Razstavljenih je 93 del.
NAGRADA NA PAPIRJU
1. Odkupno nagrado za delo na papirju, ki jo podeljuje zasebni zbiratelj iz Portoroža prejme Branka Pirc.
2. Veliko nagrado za delo na papirju, ki jo podeljuje zavarovalna družba Adriatic Slovenica Koper, ki jo bo podelil Borut Širca in jo prejme Pavle Ščurk.
POSEBNE NAGRADE
1. Galerija Fonticus Grožnjan razpisuje nagrado, ki jo je izbrala mednarodna strokovna žirija in je v obliki razstave v galeriji Fonticus, podelil jo bo Eugen Borkovski, prejme pa jo Jure Zrimšek.

2. Nagrado Hotela Tartini Piran, ki jo bo podelila ga. Andreja Frelih prejme Mirjana Matić.
3. Nagrado podjetja Piranesi iz Pirana bo podelil g. Drago Papež, prejme pa jo Peter Ciuha.
ODKUPNE NAGRADE
1. Podjetje Marovt iz Stranic podeljuje dva nagradi, prejmeta ju Zlatko Prah in Azad Karim.
2. Nagrado podjetja Casino Riviera prejme Goranka Supin.
VELIKE HOTELSKE NAGRADE
1. Nagrado podjetja Dvor Tacen Ljubljana bo podelil Matjaž Vilfan in jo prejme Benjamin Žnidaršič.

Obrazložitev:
Veliku nagradu 49. EX TEMPORE Piran dobiva rad autora NICOLA TOMASI iz GORICE sa nazivom Building F4.
Radi se o kolažiranom slikarskom djelu većih dimenzija. Rad asocira začudno arhitektonsko, urbano okruženje. Autor želi postići dojam dramatičnosti pa nudi izrezak, detalj mogućeg kadra. Uz to poseže za zakošenjem i ritmiziranim rasporedom elemenata, izazivajući nadrealni doživljaj.
Rad možemo tumačiti kao artističku interpretaciju glomaznih nečovječnih ljudskih naselja. Ona su u ideji praktična ali se u praksi pokazuju kao nehumana. Jedina individualnost nastanjenih u njima može biti iskazana nivoom spuštanja ili dizanja roleta i otvaranja ili zatvaranja prozorskih otvora. Autor inicira spoznaju da smo prisiljeni na ukutijavanje: kutije u kojima živimo, kutije u kojima se vozimo, kutije u koje gledamo da bi nas na kraju i odnijeli u kutiji.

Avtor nam s svojim delom skuša posredovati drugačen zorni kot sodobnega načina življenja in njegovih omejitev: vodi nas do spoznanja, da smo prisiljeni živeti in se premikati v bolj ali manj velikih zabojnikih, v katerih nas na koncu tudi odnesejo.

E' un'opera pittorica a collage a tecnica mista di grandi dimensioni, che ci riporta ad uno spazio di architettura urbana. L'autore vuole dare un senso drammatico mostrandoci un dettaglio di un fermo immagine; con il rigore delle prospettive diagonali, ci suggerisce un senso surrealistico.
L'interpretazione artistica ci porta ad analizzare la quotidianita' delle abitazioni urbane, mentre la realta' non e' proprio questa. L'unica personalizzazione umana che possono dare gli abitanti di questi "cubi di cemento" e' alzare o abbassare la tapparella, chiudere o aprire le finestre..
L'autore con la sua opera ci da un nuovo punto di vista sulla codizione umana e le sue costrizioni: ci suggerisce il fatto che viviamo "inscatolati", guidiamo "inscatolati" e finiamo la nostra vita "inscatolati".

Piran – Building 4 je naslov slike, za katero je 54-letni Nicola Tomasi iz Gorice prejel grand prix letošnjega 49. mednarodnega slikarskega praznika ex-tempore v Piranu. Nagrado sta mu danes zvečer na Tartinijevem trgu podelila predsednik mednarodne žirije Eugen Borkovsky iz Hrvaške in Lilijana Stepančič, ravnateljica Obalnih galerij Piran, ki so uspešno izpeljale še vedno najbolj množično tovrstno prireditev v Evropi.
Na ex-tempore se je prijavilo 248 umetnikov iz 11 držav, ki pa so oddali le 219 del, kar je občutno manj kot v časih najbolj množičnih prireditev pred nekaj leti, ko se je prijavilo po 350 in več avtorjev. Kriza verjetno vpliva tudi na ustvarjanje oziroma na ambicije ustvarjalcev. Približno tretjina avtorjev je akademsko šolanih, toda akademska izobrazba ni vedno pogoj za uspeh. Letos so podelili 22 nagrad za slike in tri nagrade za izdelke iz keramike, skupaj je bilo podeljenih za več kot 20.000 evrov nagrad. Prvič sta se za podelitev velike odkupne nagrade (poleg piranske občine) odločili tudi Občina Koper in Komunala Koper, kar je zasluga svetovalca koprskega župana (G. G. Mišiča). V Mestni galeriji Piran so razstavili 93 izbranih in seveda vseh 22 nagrajenih del, v prostorih in vrtovih nekdanjega piranskega vrtca (ki je zdaj last piranske župnije) pa so predstavili preostalih nekaj več kot sto del, ki se niso uvrstila v ožji izbor.
Nicola Tomasi je stari znanec žirije piranskega ex-tempora, saj je že prejemal nagrade. Letošnje nagrajeno delo Building pa mu je prineslo 2000 evrov nagrade. Kolažirana slika upodablja sodobno arhitekturno okolje. »S svojim abstraktnim delom poskuša avtor posredovati zorni kot sodobnega človeka in omejitve, ki mu jih takšno življenje postavlja,« je zapisano v obrazložitvi žirije za podeljeni grand prix.
Nagrado za najboljše delo mladega avtorja (do 35 let) je žirija podelila Nini Koželj (likovni pedagoginji) iz Strahovice za delo Dama. »Z risbo krokija poskuša avtorica problematizirati osebno stisko. Avtorica uporablja preprost in spontan likovni jezik, ki spominja na otroški rokopis. In ravno v tej neposrednosti je prepričljiva s svojo stvaritvijo,« je ugotovila žirija. Podelile še častna priznanja osmim udeležencem, ta so prejeli: Igor Lekšič, Jure Zrimšek, Burhan Hadžialjević, Matjaž Borovničar, Silvana Konjevoda, Peter Ciuha, Matej Pečenik, Metka Pepelnak in Branka Pirca.
Hkrati so v Galeriji Hermana Pečariča razstavili 33 od 55 del 15. mednarodnega ex-tempora keramike, kjer je najvišjo nagrado Obalnih galerij žirija podelila Mladenu Ivančiću iz Opatije.

Strokovna žirija jubilejnega, 50. mednarodnega slikarskega Ex-tempora Piran je častno priznanje za mladega avtorja podelila sliki Miracolo di mare (Morski čudež)avtorice Petje Novak. Po podelitvi pa je zaokrožilo anonimno pismo, ki je postavilo pod vprašaj izvirnost dela; opozarja namreč na veliko podobnost z avtorsko zaščiteno sliko iz serije Matchbox, ki jo je ameriška likovna ustvarjalka Erin Ashley naredila pred štirimi leti. Mednarodna strokovna žirija, ki ji predseduje Aleksander Bassin odgovarja: delo Novakove je avtentično.
PIRAN, LJUBLJANA > Sliki Erin Ashley in Petje Novak laičnemu očesu ne vzbudita veliko dvomov; tako kompozicijsko kot tudi barvno sta si izjemno podobni. To pa za odločitev, ali gre za plagiat ali ne, ni dovolj: “Slika Petje Novak je njeno avtentično delo, kar je žirija lahko ugotovila, potem ko je preverila avtoričino bogato likovno gradivo, izraženo v osnutkih, ki jih je pripravljala ves čas, dokler ni prišla do končne izvedbe, ki po izraziti figuralni motiviki (zlasti plavajočega kita, morske favne in flore) temelji na izročilu o nasedlem kitu v 16. stoletju v Piranu. Podnaslovitev Miracolo di mare je verbalni povzetek iz te legende,” je v imenu mednarodne strokovne žirije, ki je presojala o letošnjih delih na slikarskem Ex-temporu, zapisal njen predsednik Aleksander Bassin.
Glede očitkov o podobnosti, vprašanja o preverjanju izvirnosti in kriterijih izbora žirija meni, da je po postmoderni in v postmedijski umetniški paradigmi govorjenje o plagiatu nesmiselno: “Umetniki imajo svobodo preinterpretiranja, citiranja, apropriiranja ... po principu prehajanja med mediji in svobodnega povzemanja v univerzumu podob.” Sliki Petje Novak tako ostaja častno priznanje, prav tako bo Miracolo di mare še naprej del razstave, ki je v piranski Mestni galeriji na ogled do 3. oktobra.
Delo ameriške umetnice je leta 2012 kuratorica Paola Trevisan uvrstila na mednarodno umetniško razstavo Liberated Dreams; med drugim je objavljeno na plakatu in na naslovnici kataloga te razstave, na kar je medije in žirijo opozoril avtor anonimnega pisma. Petja Novak zagotavlja, da dela Ashleyjeve doslej ni poznala. “Izhajala sem iz neke svoje stare slike, na kateri sem upodobila surferja na valovih,” pojasnjuje študentka tretjega letnika kiparstva na ljubljanski Akademiji za likovno umetnost. Povedala je, da je sliko Miracolo di mare delala v Piranu, kjer sicer preživlja poletja, in vanjo vključila detajle, ki jih videva - angleško petjambornico, ki pogosto pripluje v piranski mandrač, staro cipreso, piransko hiško, puhaste oblake pred nevihto ... ter vse to beležila v svoj risarski dnevnik in za sliko pripravila več skic. Navdih za naslov je našla v stari piranski legendi Miracolo di mare - ta pripoveduje o kitu, ki je v piranski zaliv priplaval v 16. stoletju.
Z očitki, da je delo, ki ga je strokovna žirija piranskega ex-tempora nagradila, plagiat, so se v Obalnih galerijah soočili že lani, ko je piranski akademski slikar Matjaž Borovničar opozoril na spornost slike Mateja Čepina. Njegovo delo The Storm naj bi bilo plagiat fotografije Infectious PneumoniaAndresa Serrana. Na vprašanje, ali tovrstni primeri škodujejo ugledu piranskega Ex-tempora, najstarejše tovrstne prireditve v Evropi, Jelka Pečar, v.d. ravnatelja Obalnih galerij, odgovarja, da predvsem dvignejo precej medijskega prahu. Kot je dodala, pravilnika o sodelovanju na Ex-temporu Piran ne nameravajo bistveno spreminjati. Razmišljajo pa, da bi v prihodnje sodelujočim avtorjem v podpis predložili izjavo, s katero bi slikarji potrdili, da je delo, ki so ga oddali, avtentično.

Piran - Na piranskem Ex temporu nagrajena slika Miracolo di mare Petje Novak je nezmotljivo podobna delu ameriške umetnice Erin Ashley plagiat. Toda predsednik mednarodne žirije Aleksander Bassin je plagiatorstvo zanikal in zatrdil, da je slika avtentično delo študentke kiparstva na akademiji za likovno umetnost Petje Novak.
Petja Novak je na nedavnem, 50. mednarodnem slikarskem Ex-temporu v Piranu prejela častno priznanje za najboljše delo mladega avtorja, starega do 35 let. Anonimneži pa so nas opozorili, da je nagrajeno piransko delo neverjetno podobno originalu ameriške umetnice Erin Ashley s Floride, oziroma da gre za plagiat.
»Če komisija ne bo reagirala, se bojimo, da bo Ex-tempore počasi izgubljal na kredibilnosti. Ni namreč pošteno do drugih avtorjev, ki so na platno prenesli svoje lastne ideje in ne le kopirali zamisli drugih. Mladi »avtorici« pa bo ta uspeh dal krila za bodoče copy-paste, če bo živela v prepričanju, da nihče ni opazil njenega plagiatorstva,« pišejo anonimni avtorji pisma.
Za komentar smo povprašali Petjo Novak, ki je dejala, da je bila ob teh očitkih povsem šokirana.

Nagrajen plagiat
Saj ne, da bi me dajala nevoščljivost. Prebral sem članek v Slovenskih novicah in nagrajeni deklič se mi je malce zasmilil.
V kategoriji mladih avtorjev do 35 let je na letošnjem EX TEMPORU Piran 2015 "zablestela" avtorica Petja Novak s sliko, za katero se je ugotovilo, da je čisti plagiat. Članka na spletu še ni mogoče prebrati, pa prilagam kar njeno fotografijo iz FB.
Kaj si ob tem mislim?
Vsa čast strokovni žiriji z Aleksandrom Bassinom na čelu, saj zna razpoznati tisto, kar je dobro med množico oddanih del. Ne gre jim zameriti, da plagiatorstva sami niso zaznali. Ker pa vsi ljudje vse vedo, goljufija ne more ostati dolgo skrita.
Nič ni narobe, če se od drugih avtorjev česa naučimo, kakšno podrobnost uporabimo in jo vgradimo v svoje delo. Če pa kopiramo je prav, da to ob delu jasno zapišemo.

Tale naslov sem izbral iz prve kitice narodne pesmi z enakim naslovom. Da bi ne bilo morebitnih očitkov ...

Nemalo sem bil presenečen danes zjutraj, ko sem odprl pismo, v njej pa list papirja z natisnjenim zapisom upokojenega muzejskega svetnika Andreja Medveda, objavljenim v časopisu Delo v rubriki "Prejeli smo".
Neznanemu pošiljatelju se za pisemce prav lepo zahvaljujem!
Zapisa v Delu nisem prebral, pa mi je takole servirano prišlo kar prav.
Z gospodom Medvedom pa bi se lahko strinjal le delno.
Postmoderna je res en velik hudič, saj v njej ni nobenih pravil. Bassin ima prav, ko pravi, da je v njej čisto vse mogoče, sam pa se sprašujem, če je morda s tem tudi čisto vse dovoljeno?
Slike Erin Ashley v naravi nisem videl, njenih dimenzij ne poznam, sem se pa od blizu soočil s sliko Petje Novak. Drži tisto, o kromatičnih odnosih, kompozicijski zasnovi, morda merah, v detajlih pa sta si sliki močno različni. Na Ashleyevi sliki verjetno ni nalepljenih pozlačenih, zdrobljenih hišic morskega ježka, tam na dnu je simbolično prikazan kit, ribica, na sliki ni ob robu naslikanih črnih številk in tudi pozlate na posameznih segmentih slike verjetno na originalu ni. Modra lisa z okorno naslikanimi valovi je detajl, ki bi ga na Ashleyevi sliki zaman iskali. Torej o identičnosti tu ne more biti govora.
Sprašujem pa se, do kam lahko seže avtor nekega dela pri iskanju ideje za svoje stvaritve. Drug od drugega se učimo, drug drugemu dajemo neka nova spoznanja iz njih črpamo ideje, jih seveda včasih tudi uporabimo in nadgrajujemo. Popolna kopija nekega dela, pod katero zapišemo svoje ime, vem, ni dopustna. Kopija originala s podpisom vred z namenom, da bi jo prodali, kot avtentično delo, tudi ne. Kje je torej meja?
Morda ni prav, da se avtorica nagrajenega dela spreneveda češ, da slike Ashleyeve sploh ne pozna, prav tudi ni, da trdimo, da sta sliki popolnoma identični, ker to nista.
Ali je prav, da je bila nagrajena, to pa ve samo gospod Bassin, člani žirije in morda še kdo.

Ni namreč pošteno do drugih avtorjev, ki so na platno prenesli svoje lastne ideje in ne le kopirali zamisli drugih. Mladi »avtorici« pa bo ta uspeh dal krila za bodoče copy-paste, če bo živela v prepričanju, da nihče ni opazil njenega plagiatorstva,« pišejo anonimni avtorji pisma.
Presenečena umetnica
Za komentar smo povprašali Petjo Novak, ki je dejala, da je bila ob teh očitkih povsem šokirana. Zatrdila nam je, da dela Erin Ashley ni nikoli niti od daleč videla, ali si ga kakor koli zapomnila, kaj šele, da bi ga uporabila za predlogo svojega ustvarjanja. Celo če naredi nekdo popolnoma identično podobo, ne moremo natančno vedeti, za kakšno vrsto provokacije gre.«
Že lani težave s podobnostjo
V Obalnih galerijah Piran so že lani prejeli proteste na račun razstavljene (ne pa nagrajene) slike Mateja Čepina, ki je z oljnatimi barvami nadvse veristično »preinterpretiral« (ne da bi to kakor koli poudaril ali na to opozoril) eno od fotografij svetovno znanega fotografa Andresa Serrana (Infectious Pneumonio). Tudi takrat je žirija ugotovila, da je takšno slikanje povsem sprejemljiva oblika ustvarjanja, zaradi katerega so delo tudi razstavili med drugimi uspelimi likovnimi iskanji in poskusi in ga od tam niso umaknili.

Mednarodna strokovna žirija v sestavi:

Na mednarodni slikarski ex-tempore se je prijavilo 245 udeležencev. Oddanih je bilo 219 likovnih del. Razstava je postavljena v prostorih Mestne galerije Piran. Razstavljenih je 93 del.
NAGRADA NA PAPIRJU
1. Odkupno nagrado za delo na papirju, ki jo podeljuje zasebni zbiratelj iz Portoroža prejme Branka Pirc.

Veliku nagradu 49. EX TEMPORE Piran dobiva rad autora NICOLA TOMASI iz GORICE sa nazivom Building F4.
Radi se o kolažiranom slikarskom djelu većih dimenzija. Rad asocira začudno arhitektonsko, urbano okruženje. Autor želi postići dojam dramatičnosti pa nudi izrezak, detalj mogućeg kadra. Uz to poseže za zakošenjem i ritmiziranim rasporedom elemenata, izazivajući nadrealni doživljaj.
Rad možemo tumačiti kao artističku interpretaciju glomaznih nečovječnih ljudskih naselja. Ona su u ideji praktična ali se u praksi pokazuju kao nehumana. Jedina individualnost nastanjenih u njima može biti iskazana nivoom spuštanja ili dizanja roleta i otvaranja ili zatvaranja prozorskih otvora. Autor inicira spoznaju da smo prisiljeni na ukutijavanje: kutije u kojima živimo, kutije u kojima se vozimo, kutije u koje gledamo da bi nas na kraju i odnijeli u kutiji.

Avtor nam s svojim delom skuša posredovati drugačen zorni kot sodobnega načina življenja in njegovih omejitev: vodi nas do spoznanja, da smo prisiljeni živeti in se premikati v bolj ali manj velikih zabojnikih, v katerih nas na koncu tudi odnesejo.

E' un'opera pittorica a collage a tecnica mista di grandi dimensioni, che ci riporta ad uno spazio di architettura urbana. L'autore vuole dare un senso drammatico mostrandoci un dettaglio di un fermo immagine; con il rigore delle prospettive diagonali, ci suggerisce un senso surrealistico.
L'interpretazione artistica ci porta ad analizzare la quotidianita' delle abitazioni urbane, mentre la realta' non e' proprio questa. L'unica personalizzazione umana che possono dare gli abitanti di questi "cubi di cemento" e' alzare o abbassare la tapparella, chiudere o aprire le finestre..
L'autore con la sua opera ci da un nuovo punto di vista sulla codizione umana e le sue costrizioni: ci suggerisce il fatto che viviamo "inscatolati", guidiamo "inscatolati" e finiamo la nostra vita "inscatolati".

Piran – Building 4 je naslov slike, za katero je 54-letni Nicola Tomasi iz Gorice prejel grand prix letošnjega 49. mednarodnega slikarskega praznika ex-tempore v Piranu. Nagrado sta mu danes zvečer na Tartinijevem trgu podelila predsednik mednarodne žirije Eugen Borkovsky iz Hrvaške in Lilijana Stepančič, ravnateljica Obalnih galerij Piran, ki so uspešno izpeljale še vedno najbolj množično tovrstno prireditev v Evropi.
Na ex-tempore se je prijavilo 248 umetnikov iz 11 držav, ki pa so oddali le 219 del, kar je občutno manj kot v časih najbolj množičnih prireditev pred nekaj leti, ko se je prijavilo po 350 in več avtorjev. Kriza verjetno vpliva tudi na ustvarjanje oziroma na ambicije ustvarjalcev. Približno tretjina avtorjev je akademsko šolanih, toda akademska izobrazba ni vedno pogoj za uspeh. Letos so podelili 22 nagrad za slike in tri nagrade za izdelke iz keramike, skupaj je bilo podeljenih za več kot 20.000 evrov nagrad. Prvič sta se za podelitev velike odkupne nagrade (poleg piranske občine) odločili tudi Občina Koper in Komunala Koper, kar je zasluga svetovalca koprskega župana (G. G. Mišiča). V Mestni galeriji Piran so razstavili 93 izbranih in seveda vseh 22 nagrajenih del, v prostorih in vrtovih nekdanjega piranskega vrtca (ki je zdaj last piranske župnije) pa so predstavili preostalih nekaj več kot sto del, ki se niso uvrstila v ožji izbor.
Nicola Tomasi je stari znanec žirije piranskega ex-tempora, saj je že prejemal nagrade. Letošnje nagrajeno delo Building pa mu je prineslo 2000 evrov nagrade. Kolažirana slika upodablja sodobno arhitekturno okolje. »S svojim abstraktnim delom poskuša avtor posredovati zorni kot sodobnega človeka in omejitve, ki mu jih takšno življenje postavlja,« je zapisano v obrazložitvi žirije za podeljeni grand prix.
Nagrado za najboljše delo mladega avtorja (do 35 let) je žirija podelila Nini Koželj (likovni pedagoginji) iz Strahovice za delo Dama. »Z risbo krokija poskuša avtorica problematizirati osebno stisko. Avtorica uporablja preprost in spontan likovni jezik, ki spominja na otroški rokopis. In ravno v tej neposrednosti je prepričljiva s svojo stvaritvijo,« je ugotovila žirija. Podelile še častna priznanja osmim udeležencem, ta so prejeli: Igor Lekšič, Jure Zrimšek, Burhan Hadžialjević, Matjaž Borovničar, Silvana Konjevoda, Peter Ciuha, Matej Pečenik, Metka Pepelnak in Branka Pirca.
Hkrati so v Galeriji Hermana Pečariča razstavili 33 od 55 del 15. mednarodnega ex-tempora keramike, kjer je najvišjo nagrado Obalnih galerij žirija podelila Mladenu Ivančiću iz Opatije.

Strokovna žirija jubilejnega, 50. mednarodnega slikarskega Ex-tempora Piran je častno priznanje za mladega avtorja podelila sliki Miracolo di mare (Morski čudež)avtorice Petje Novak. Po podelitvi pa je zaokrožilo anonimno pismo, ki je postavilo pod vprašaj izvirnost dela; opozarja namreč na veliko podobnost z avtorsko zaščiteno sliko iz serije Matchbox, ki jo je ameriška likovna ustvarjalka Erin Ashley naredila pred štirimi leti. Mednarodna strokovna žirija, ki ji predseduje Aleksander Bassin odgovarja: delo Novakove je avtentično.
PIRAN, LJUBLJANA > Sliki Erin Ashley in Petje Novak laičnemu očesu ne vzbudita veliko dvomov; tako kompozicijsko kot tudi barvno sta si izjemno podobni. Glede očitkov o podobnosti, vprašanja o preverjanju izvirnosti in kriterijih izbora žirija meni, da je po postmoderni in v postmedijski umetniški paradigmi govorjenje o plagiatu nesmiselno: “Umetniki imajo svobodo preinterpretiranja, citiranja, apropriiranja ... po principu prehajanja med mediji in svobodnega povzemanja v univerzumu podob.” Sliki Petje Novak tako ostaja častno priznanje, prav tako bo Miracolo di mare še naprej del razstave, ki je v piranski Mestni galeriji na ogled do 3. oktobra.
Delo ameriške umetnice je leta 2012 kuratorica Paola Trevisan uvrstila na mednarodno umetniško razstavo Liberated Dreams; med drugim je objavljeno na plakatu in na naslovnici kataloga te razstave, na kar je medije in žirijo opozoril avtor anonimnega pisma. Petja Novak zagotavlja, da dela Ashleyjeve doslej ni poznala. “Izhajala sem iz neke svoje stare slike, na kateri sem upodobila surferja na valovih,” pojasnjuje študentka tretjega letnika kiparstva na ljubljanski Akademiji za likovno umetnost. Povedala je, da je sliko Miracolo di mare delala v Piranu, kjer sicer preživlja poletja, in vanjo vključila detajle, ki jih videva - angleško petjambornico, ki pogosto pripluje v piranski mandrač, staro cipreso, piransko hiško, puhaste oblake pred nevihto ... ter vse to beležila v svoj risarski dnevnik in za sliko pripravila več skic. Navdih za naslov je našla v stari piranski legendi Miracolo di mare - ta pripoveduje o kitu, ki je v piranski zaliv priplaval v 16. stoletju.
Z očitki, da je delo, ki ga je strokovna žirija piranskega ex-tempora nagradila, plagiat, so se v Obalnih galerijah soočili že lani, ko je piranski akademski slikar Matjaž Borovničar opozoril na spornost slike Mateja Čepina. Njegovo delo The Storm naj bi bilo plagiat fotografije Infectious PneumoniaAndresa Serrana. Na vprašanje, ali tovrstni primeri škodujejo ugledu piranskega Ex-tempora, najstarejše tovrstne prireditve v Evropi, Jelka Pečar, v.d. ravnatelja Obalnih galerij, odgovarja, da predvsem dvignejo precej medijskega prahu. Kot je dodala, pravilnika o sodelovanju na Ex-temporu Piran ne nameravajo bistveno spreminjati. Razmišljajo pa, da bi v prihodnje sodelujočim avtorjem v podpis predložili izjavo, s katero bi slikarji potrdili, da je delo, ki so ga oddali, avtentično.

Toda predsednik mednarodne žirije Aleksander Bassin je plagiatorstvo zanikal in zatrdil, da je slika avtentično delo študentke kiparstva na akademiji za likovno umetnost Petje Novak.
Petja Novak je na nedavnem, 50. mednarodnem slikarskem Ex-temporu v Piranu prejela častno priznanje za najboljše delo mladega avtorja, starega do 35 let. Anonimneži pa so nas opozorili, da je nagrajeno piransko delo neverjetno podobno originalu ameriške umetnice Erin Ashley s Floride, oziroma da gre za plagiat.
»Če komisija ne bo reagirala, se bojimo, da bo Ex-tempore počasi izgubljal na kredibilnosti. Ni namreč pošteno do drugih avtorjev, ki so na platno prenesli svoje lastne ideje in ne le kopirali zamisli drugih. Mladi »avtorici« pa bo ta uspeh dal krila za bodoče copy-paste, če bo živela v prepričanju, da nihče ni opazil njenega plagiatorstva,« pišejo anonimni avtorji pisma.
Za komentar smo povprašali Petjo Novak, ki je dejala, da je bila ob teh očitkih povsem šokirana.

Nagrajen plagiat
Saj ne, da bi me dajala nevoščljivost. Prebral sem članek v Slovenskih novicah in nagrajeni deklič se mi je malce zasmilil.
V kategoriji mladih avtorjev do 35 let je na letošnjem EX TEMPORU Piran 2015 "zablestela" avtorica Petja Novak s sliko, za katero se je ugotovilo, da je čisti plagiat. Članka na spletu še ni mogoče prebrati, pa prilagam kar njeno fotografijo iz FB.
Kaj si ob tem mislim?
Vsa čast strokovni žiriji z Aleksandrom Bassinom na čelu, saj zna razpoznati tisto, kar je dobro med množico oddanih del. Ne gre jim zameriti, da plagiatorstva sami niso zaznali. Ker pa vsi ljudje vse vedo, goljufija ne more ostati dolgo skrita.
Nič ni narobe, če se od drugih avtorjev česa naučimo, kakšno podrobnost uporabimo in jo vgradimo v svoje delo. Če pa kopiramo je prav, da to ob delu jasno zapišemo.

Nemalo sem bil presenečen danes zjutraj, ko sem odprl pismo, v njej pa list papirja z natisnjenim zapisom upokojenega muzejskega svetnika Andreja Medveda, objavljenim v časopisu Delo v rubriki "Prejeli smo".
Neznanemu pošiljatelju se za pisemce prav lepo zahvaljujem!
Zapisa v Delu nisem prebral, pa mi je takole servirano prišlo kar prav.
Z gospodom Medvedom pa bi se lahko strinjal le delno.
Postmoderna je res en velik hudič, saj v njej ni nobenih pravil. Bassin ima prav, ko pravi, da je v njej čisto vse mogoče, sam pa se sprašujem, če je morda s tem tudi čisto vse dovoljeno?
Slike Erin Ashley v naravi nisem videl, njenih dimenzij ne poznam, sem se pa od blizu soočil s sliko Petje Novak. Drži tisto, o kromatičnih odnosih, kompozicijski zasnovi, morda merah, v detajlih pa sta si sliki močno različni. Na Ashleyevi sliki verjetno ni nalepljenih pozlačenih, zdrobljenih hišic morskega ježka, tam na dnu je simbolično prikazan kit, ribica, na sliki ni ob robu naslikanih črnih številk in tudi pozlate na posameznih segmentih slike verjetno na originalu ni. Modra lisa z okorno naslikanimi valovi je detajl, ki bi ga na Ashleyevi sliki zaman iskali. Torej o identičnosti tu ne more biti govora.
Sprašujem pa se, do kam lahko seže avtor nekega dela pri iskanju ideje za svoje stvaritve. Drug od drugega se učimo, drug drugemu dajemo neka nova spoznanja iz njih črpamo ideje, jih seveda včasih tudi uporabimo in nadgrajujemo. Popolna kopija nekega dela, pod katero zapišemo svoje ime, vem, ni dopustna. Kopija originala s podpisom vred z namenom, da bi jo prodali, kot avtentično delo, tudi ne. Kje je torej meja?
Morda ni prav, da se avtorica nagrajenega dela spreneveda češ, da slike Ashleyeve sploh ne pozna, prav tudi ni, da trdimo, da sta sliki popolnoma identični, ker to nista.
Ali je prav, da je bila nagrajena, to pa ve samo gospod Bassin, člani žirije in morda še kdo.

V zvezi s kodeksom oblačenja je pristojna pravna oseba pri kateri je oseba zaposlena, Javni zavod je samostojna pravna oseba, ki poseduje vse podatke o morebiti sprejetih pravilnikih in določilih, ki so jih zaposleni dolžni upoštevati. Predlagamo vam, da v zadevi kontaktirate vodstvo javnega zavoda.

Piran - Piran Ex tempore award-winning picture Miracolo di mare Petja Novak is unmistakably similar to the work of the American artist Erin Ashley plagiarism. But the president of the international jury Aleksander Bassin is denied plagiarism and claimed that the picture is authentic student work in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Singing Novak.
Singing Novak is recent, the 50th International Ex-tempore Piran received an honorable mention for the best work of young authors aged up to 35 years. Anonymous, we were warned that the award-winning Piran work incredibly similar to the original American artist Erin Ashley from Florida, or that it is plagiarism.

Last year, the similarity of problems

Toda predsednik mednarodne žirije Aleksander Bassin je plagiatorstvo zanikal in zatrdil, da je slika avtentično delo študentke kiparstva na akademiji za likovno umetnost Petje Novak.
Petja Novak je na nedavnem, 50. mednarodnem slikarskem Ex-temporu v Piranu prejela častno priznanje za najboljše delo mladega avtorja, starega do 35 let. Anonimneži pa so nas opozorili, da je nagrajeno piransko delo neverjetno podobno originalu ameriške umetnice Erin Ashley s Floride, oziroma da gre za plagiat.
»Če komisija ne bo reagirala, se bojimo, da bo Ex-tempore počasi izgubljal na kredibilnosti. Ni namreč pošteno do drugih avtorjev, ki so na platno prenesli svoje lastne ideje in ne le kopirali zamisli drugih. Mladi »avtorici« pa bo ta uspeh dal krila za bodoče copy-paste, če bo živela v prepričanju, da nihče ni opazil njenega plagiatorstva,« pišejo anonimni avtorji pisma.
Presenečena umetnica
Za komentar smo povprašali Petjo Novak, ki je dejala, da je bila ob teh očitkih povsem šokirana. Zatrdila nam je, da dela Erin Ashley ni nikoli niti od daleč videla, ali si ga kakor koli zapomnila, kaj šele, da bi ga uporabila za predlogo svojega ustvarjanja. Po njenih besedah je ta neverjetna, pravzaprav čudežna, podobnost dveh del (in delo ljubljanske študentke je nastalo več let po delu ameriške umetnice) eno samo naključje.
Petja Novak je povedala, da je svoje delo snovala več mesecev, da je zadnje mesece veliko študirala teorijo o zlatem rezu, ker je imela nedavno izpit na akademiji, da ima celo vrsto skic, ki najbolje dokazujejo postopno nastajanje in dozorevanje njenega umetniškega dela in da je svoje delo zasnovala na stari piranski zgodbi o pri solinah nasedlem kitu, ki so ga stari Pirančani imenovali Miracolo di mare (Morski čudež), kar je uporabila za naslov svoje slike.
Ne plagiat, le citat
Predsednik žirije piranskega ex-tempora Aleksander Bassin nam je povedal, da se je temeljito pogovoril s študentko in na podlagi njenih skic lahko ugotovil, kako je snovala delo. »Slika Petje Novak je njeno avtentično delo, kar je žirija lahko ugotovila potem, ko je preverila avtoričino bogato likovno gradivo, izraženo v osnutkih, ki jih je pripravljala ves čas, dokler ni prišla do končne izvedbe, ki po izraziti figuralni motoviki (zlasti plavajočega kita, morske favne in flore) temelji na izročilu o nasedlem kitu v 16. stoletju pri Sečoveljskih solinah. Podnaslovitev Miracolo di mare je verbalni povzetek iz te legende.«
Glede očitkov o podobnosti, izvirnosti in kriterijih izbora pa je Bassin odgovoril: »Po postmoderni in v postmedijski umetniški paradigmi je govorjenje o plagiatu nesmiselno. Umetniki imajo svobodo preinterpretiranja, citiranja apropriiranja... po principu prehajanja med mediji in svobodnega povzemanja v univerzumu podob. Citat je nekaj popolnoma sprejemljivega. Celo če naredi nekdo popolnoma identično podobo, ne moremo natančno vedeti, za kakšno vrsto provokacije gre.«
Že lani težave s podobnostjo
V Obalnih galerijah Piran so že lani prejeli proteste na račun razstavljene (ne pa nagrajene) slike Mateja Čepina, ki je z oljnatimi barvami nadvse veristično »preinterpretiral« (ne da bi to kakor koli poudaril ali na to opozoril) eno od fotografij svetovno znanega fotografa Andresa Serrana (Infectious Pneumonio). Tudi takrat je žirija ugotovila, da je takšno slikanje povsem sprejemljiva oblika ustvarjanja, zaradi katerega so delo tudi razstavili med drugimi uspelimi likovnimi iskanji in poskusi in ga od tam niso umaknili.
