Youth art exhibition artefatto 2010 – candy-world Artefatto is a project by the Department of Education, Universities and Research of the Municipality of Trieste in collaboration with the Department of Culture and the Direction of the Civic Museums of History and Art. The main goal of the project Artefatto is the valorization and the development of the Young Art in all its forms. During the year various participatory moments and various training moments of high quality involving professionals of the graphic arts, editorial and affirmed artists of the city of Trieste.
The result is the realization of an art exhibition in which the affirmed talents have the chance to exhibit their artworks in prestigious exhibition halls and in which the young students of the Art Schools, of the Academies and the simple amateurs can start a series of meetings with the audience and the critic.
The first edition of the project has taken place in 2005; from then on every year the project has grown in number of participants. In the edition of 2009, named Luminessenze, had the participation of more or less 300 young artists coming from Italy and from 10 european and extra European countries. In the two weeks of opening the exhibition has been visited by 10.000 visitors. In the download section of the website can be downloaded newspaper articles (in Italian) related to the exhibition.
The exhibition is accompanied by the publication of the catalogue, in Italian and English, of the exposed artworks, in which you will find the biographies of the selected artist of the exhibition. Every artist selected will receive two copies of the catalogue that will be delivered by hand during the time the exhibition will be open, or in case, they will be delivered by regular mail.
The participation at the exhibition is absolutely free of charge, the only expenses on the hand of the artists, are the ones related to the expedition expenses of the artworks.
The edition 2010 of the project Artefatto takes in charge the expenses of accommodation for the artists that will intervene in the opening days of the exhibition. The choice of which artists to invite will be made on behalf of the distance of the place they come from and till the covering of the maximum number of places at disposition.
The exhibition will take place from Saturday 18 september to Sunday 3rd October 2010 in five exhibition halls in the city of Trieste
