MATJAŽ BOROVNIČAR

Subject: The violent elimination of Matjaž Borovničar and his complete installation from the manifestation "Majski salon 2017", which is located at the National Museum in Ljubljana

On November 10, 2017, at 15.30 am, I carried my installation to the National Museum in Ljubljana and installed it according to the instructions of prof. Dragan Srecka.

When I arrived at the entrance door of the National Museum in Ljubljana on November 14, 2017, I was shocked to find that my installation was on the ground, thrown like a bunch of rubbish. They were detained in such a way that additional injuries could have occurred.

To my question present in the room, who is blaming this atrocity, orders, they replied that it was prof. Dragan Srečko. Interestingly, even with the help of a member of the commission, Strehovec Janez selected this installation among the 125 registered works, among which I was selected 26, as shown in the catalog of the May Salon 2017 issued by the ZDSLU, Association of Associations Slovenian artists.

Since I was subscribed to a specialist medical examination at the UKC, I left and returned in 15 minutes, after photographing the destruction and destruction of my installation, and talking about it.

Before I left, I gave the presenters instructions and precise instructions how to protect and pack each individual piece in order to avoid additional injuries and complications and inconveniences. I reminded them of the rules of the May Salon, according to which all the author's works and things are adequately insured during their stay in the National Museum. And they take responsibility for any kind of injuries.

And so I also ask that I be delivered to Olive Route no. 19, 6330 Piran.

After coming back I realized that the elements of my copyright work were packed according to my instructions.

Let me immediately point out that with prof. I never contacted Dragan Srečko physically, but the phone conversations were very short and limited.

I need to alert you to events that occurred before and after November 14, 2017:

- the first telephone conversation was held on October 25, 2017 at 11:45 am and lasted 17 seconds,

- the same day he followed a telephone conversation at 13:35 and lasted 12 minutes and 16 seconds,

- the following tel. the conversation was on November 7, 2017 at 8:11 pm and lasted 43 seconds,

- fourth tel. the conversation was on 09.11.2017 at 15:05 and lasted 33 seconds,

- on 10.11.2017 I am a prof. Dragan Srečko sent an SMS (I sent him information that there is a stop on the road and that I will miss half an hour on a date at the National Museum in Ljubljana, where Prof. Dragan was not present),

- On the same day, on November 10, 2017, I had a telephone conversation with him at 3:47 pm, which lasted 1: 2 minutes, in which prof. Dragan said he was at lunch at home.

In all the above talks, prof. Dragan Srečko dictated instructions, he was never interested in listening to my opinion. Everything I ordered, I did (bought the size of the monitor, as ordered by me, and also made a frame adapted for the monitor).

- I sent him a SMS on November 12, 2017: "On Tuesday, I will bring another electricity extension in the morning. I do not like the fact that I can not cover the wall of the background, it is a neighboring artist. My installation would be better if I I thought it would be a good idea for me to get a good idea of ​​it, but I did not know what to do with it. Matjaž. "

From the very beginning I have been with prof. Dragan Srečko contacted with respect and with a constructive approach, he just proposed his vision to improve the expressiveness of my installation.

Apparently, prof. Due to my humble opinion, Dragan decided to brutally remove my installation from the May Salon, and this is obviously revenge because he is not at his will.

- On November 13, 2017 at 11:57 am prof. Dragan called over the phone. The discussion lasted 1 min and 21 sec. During this time, I was at work where I headed the pedagogical process. Prof. Dragan overwhelmed me on the phone with what I was "shivering" and what I think I am. Prof. I told Dragan that in this way I never communicate, and that's why I stopped the conversation.

- On November 13, 2017, at 12 o'clock (the conversation lasted 42 seconds) I called prof. Dragana, to understand the issues of the conversation. My colleague was present. Prof. he continued the conversation with the same tone of voice and the same terminology as in his previous call. I explained to the professor that he had no right to communicate with me and to regret me. I still think that such a relationship is inappropriate and untenable for his position.

Professor Dragan tried to recall me several times, but due to his job, prof. I did not report, but I sent him the same day the same day and explained that I was busy, because I had a talk time of up to 18 hours.

Due to this event, on November 14, 2017, at 11 am, we met at the premises of the Slovene Ethnological Museum with representatives of the ZDSLU, with anthropology, Petro Kosi and the curator. Olgo Butinar-Čeh and discussed the devastation of mand tried to agree on how to deal with prof. Dragan agreed that my installation would be reinstalled in an exiting space, even after its original idea. In the event that this would not happen, we agreed that the ZDSLU will pay the costs of purchasing a new monitor, which is made by prof. Dragan specifically requested (over 60 cm diagonal with frame ...). Curse him. Olga Butinar-Čeh said that if ZDSLU does not cover the costs of the monitor, this cost will be ready to settle out of its own finances. We agreed that the installation will arrive to the coast so that they will take care of this, and that because of these events I will not participate in the exhibition of the May Salon 2017, an independent exhibition in Ljubljana will be awarded in 2018. The elimination in such a brutal way from this the most important manifestations at the ZDSLU are for me a terrible artistic degradation and the degradation of my opus. After further telephone conversations with the curator, Olgo Butinar-Čeh the same day at 15:40 it confirmed the above agreements in the premises of SEM; anthropologist On the same day, Petro Kosi informed 16:11 of the telephone conversation with the curator. Olgo Butinar-Che. Anthropologist Petra Kosi agreed with the aforementioned offers. Due to all of the above and in accordance with the above discussions and arrangements and in accordance with the Rules of the May Salon 2017 and in order to avoid further costs and claims for damages due to the destruction of my personal personal property on 14.11.2017 and the liquidation of my presence on to this acknowledged manifestation, loss of reputation and marketing contribution brought by participation in such a manifestation, and thus the degradation of my artistic confession, I request that within 15 days: - I will refund the cost of the KDL32WE610SONY monitor (I will submit an invoice) 399.99 Euros and the cost of ordering the produced frame for this monitor (I had all the equipment, but Prof. Dragan Srečko did not answer this and therefore I was charged for additional costs) of EUR 39.00, video ambiental installations to the above address, - send a written official confirmation by the ZDSLU apes for performing my solo exhibition in an equally suitable space in 2018 in Ljubljana. I propose and believe that my exhibition would be appropriate during the summer in the exhibition space at the Ljubljana Castle. For the opening of this exhibition, I explicitly request the anthropologists to. Petra Kosi, because she is the only one who is fit to cooperate with me (or, in general, this unfortunate event), or the curator Dejan Mehmedovic. In so far as my requirements are not satisfied, I will be compelled in the abovementioned damages actions and compensation for each lost day, not exposed day in the May Salon. MATJAŽ BOROVNIČAR
Zadeva: Nasilna izločitev Matjaža Borovničarja in njegove kompletne instalacije iz manifestacije "Majski salon 2017", ki se nahaja v Narodnem muzeju v Ljubljani
Dne 10.11.2017 ob 15.30 uri sem v Narodni muzej v Ljubljani prepeljal svojo instalacijo in jo montiral po napotkih prof. Dragan Srečka.
Ko sem dne 14.11.2017 ob 10 uri vstopil skozi vhodna vrata Narodnega muzeja v Ljubljani, sem šokiran ugotovil, da se moja instalacija nahaja na tleh, vržena kot kup smeti. Odvržene so bile tako, da bi lahko prišlo še do dodatnih poškodb.
Na moje vprašanje prisotnim v prostoru, kdo je to grozodejstvo zakrivil oz. naročil, so mi odgovorili, da je to bil prof. Dragan Srečko. Zanimivo, saj je celo sam s pomočjo člana komisije Strehovec Janezom to instalacijo selekcioniral med 125-mi prijavljenimi avtorskimi deli, med temi 26-mi selekcioniranimi sem bil tudi jaz, kot to dokazuje katalog Majskega salona 2017, ki ga je izdala ZDSLU, Zveza društev slovenskih likovnih umetnikov.
Ker sem bil naročen na specialistični zdravniški pregled na UKC-ju, sem odšel ter se čez 15 minut vrnil nazaj, da po fotografiram razdejanje in uničenje moje instalacije, ter da se o tem pogovorim.
Predno sem odšel, sem prisotnim dal napotke in točna navodila, kako vsak posamični kos zavarovati in zapakirati, da ne bi prišlo do dodatnih poškodb in komplikacij ter nevšečnosti. Opomnil sem jih na pravilnik Majskega salona, po katerem so vsa avtorska dela in stvari v času nahajanja v objektu Narodnega muzeja primerno zavarovana. In, da oni prevzemajo odgovornost za kakršnokoli poškodbo.
In tako tudi zahtevam, da se mi jih dostavi na Oljčno pot št. 19, 6330 Piran.
Po prihodu nazaj sem ugotovil, da so bili elementi mojega avtorskega dela zapakirani po mojih navodilih.
Naj takoj opozorim, da s prof. Dragan Srečkom nisem nikoli prišel v stik fizično, telefonski pogovori pa so bili zelo kratki in omejeni.
Opozoriti vas moram na dogodke, ki so se pripetili pred in po 14.11.2017:
- prvi telefonski pogovor je potekal dne 25.10.2017 ob 11:45 uri in je trajal 17 sek,
- isti dan je sledil telefonski pogovor ob 13:35 in je trajal 12 min in 16 sek,
- naslednji tel. pogovor je bil dne 07.11.2017 ob 20:11 uri in je trajal 43 sek,
- četrti tel. pogovor je bil dne 09.11.2017 ob 15:05 uri in je trajal 33 sek,
- dne 10.11.2017 sem prof. Dragan Srečku poslal SMS (poslal sem mu informacijo, da je na cesti zastoj in, da bom zato zamudil pol ure na zmenek v Narodnem muzeju v Ljubljani, na katerem pa prof. Dragan ni bil prisoten),
- istega dne 10.11.2017 sem z njim imel telefonski pogovor ob 15:47, ki je trajal 1:02 min, v katerem je prof. Dragan povedal, da je na kosilu doma.
V vseh zgoraj navedenih pogovorih je prof. Dragan Srečko diktiral navodila, nikoli ni bil zainteresiran prisluhniti mojemu mnenju. Vse, kar je naročil, sem naredil (kupil velikost monitorja, kot mi je naročil, ter dal delati tudi okvir, prilagojen za monitor).
- Nadalje sem mu dne 12.11.2017 poslal SMS: "V torek bom prinesel zjutraj še en podaljšek za elektriko. Meni po pravici ni všeč to, da ne morem pokriti stene ozadja. Sosedni umetnik jo je. Moja instalacija bi bila boljša, če bi segala še na steni 1 meter in pol. Razmislite in mi jutri javite. Instalacija bi bila tako popolna. To je moje mnenje. Kot avtor. Z vsem spoštovanjem do vaše ideje. Grem počivat, ker sem celi dan delal svoje izdelke. Lepe pozdrave. Matjaž.".
Že od vsega začetka sem s prof. Dragan Srečkom kontaktiral spoštljivo in s konstruktivnim pristopom samo predlagal svoje videnje za izboljšanje izraznosti moje instalacije.
Očitno se je prof. Dragan zaradi mojega skromnega mnenja odločil brutalno odstraniti mojo instalacijo iz Majskega salona in se s tem očitno maščuje, ker ni po njegovi volji.
- Dne 13.11.2017 ob 11:57 me je prof. Dragan po telefonu poklical. Pogovor je trajal 1 min in 21 sek. V tem času sem bil v službi, kjer sem vodil pedagoški proces. Prof. Dragan me je po telefonu nadiral, da kaj se jaz "preseravam" in da kaj si jaz mislim, da sem. Prof. Draganu sem odgovoril, da na tak način jaz nikoli ne komuniciram in sem zato pogovor prekinil.
- Dne 13.11.2017 ob 12 uri (pogovor je trajal 42 sek) sem jaz poklical prof. Dragana, da razumem problematiko pogovora. Prisotna je bila moja sodelavka. Prof. je nadaljeval pogovor z istim tonom glasu in istim izrazoslovljem kot v predhodnem njegovem klicu. Profesorju sem razložil, da nima nobene pravice z mano tako komunicirati in me žaliti. Še vedno sem mnenja, da je tak odnos neprimeren in nedostojen za njegov položaj.
Profesor Dragan me je nato še nekajkrat poskušal priklicati, vendar se zaradi svoje službe prof. nisem javil, sem pa mu še isti dan poslal SMS in obrazložil, da sem zaseden, saj sem imel govorilne ure do 18 ure.
Zaradi tega dogodka dne 14.11.2017 ob 11 uri smo se sestali v prostorih Slovenskega etnološkega muzeja s predstavniki ZDSLU in sicer s antropologinjo ga. Petro Kosi in kustosinjo ga. Olgo Butinar-Čeh in razpravljali o razdejanju moje instalacije in se poskušali dogovoriti, kako se s prof. Draganom dogovoriti, da bi se moja instalacija nazaj instalirala v ekspozitivni prostor četudi po njegovi prvotni zamisli. V primeru pa, da se to ne bi zgodilo, smo se dogovorili, da bo ZDSLU poravnala stroške nakupa novega monitorja, ki ga je prof. Dragan specifično zahteval (nad 60 cm po diagonali z okvirjem...). Kustosinja ga. Olga Butinar-Čeh je dejala, da v primeru, če ZDSLU ne poravna stroškov monitorja, bo ta strošek pripravljena poravnati iz svojih lastnih financ. Dogovorili smo se, da bo instalacija prispela na Obalo, da bodo oni poskrbeli zato, in da mi bo, ker zaradi omenjenih dogodkov ne sodelujem v razstavi Majskega salona 2017, dodeljena samostojna razstava v Ljubljani v letu 2018. Izločitev na tako brutalen način iz te najbolj pomembne manifestacije na ZDSLU zame predstavlja grozljivo umetniško degradacijo in razvrednotenje mojega opusa.
Po še nadaljnjih telefonskih razgovorih z kustosinjo ga. Olgo Butinar-Čeh istega dne ob 15:40 je le-ta potrdila gornje dogovore v prostorih SEM; antropologinja ga. Petro Kosi pa sem istega dne ob 16:11 obvestil o telefonskem pogovoru z kustosinjo ga. Olgo Butinar-Čeh. Antropologinja ga. Petra Kosi je soglašala z že omenjenimi ponudbami.
Zaradi vsega zgoraj navedenega in skladno z gornjimi pogovori in dogovori ter skladno s Pravilnikom Majskega salona 2017 in v izogibu nadaljnjim stroškom in odškodninskim zahtevkom zaradi uničevanja moje avtorske osebne lastnine dne 14.11.2017 in likvidacije mojega nastopa na tej priznani manifestaciji, izgube ugleda in marketinškega doprinosa, ki ga sama udeležba na taki manifestaciji prinese, in s tem degradacije moje umetniške izpovedi,
zahtevam, da mi v roku 15-ih dni:
- povrnete stroške monitorja KDL32WE610SONY (predložil bom račun) v višini 399,99 Eurov in stroške po naročilu izdelanega okvirja za ta monitor (imel sem vso opremo, vendar prof. Dragan Srečku to ni odgovarjalo in sem zato bil primoran v dodatne stroške) v višini 39,00 Eurov,

- dostava celotne avdio video ambientalne instalacije na zgoraj naveden naslov,
- s strani ZDSLU posredujete pisno uradno potrditev napovedi za izvedbo moje samostojne razstave v enakovredno primernem prostoru v obdobju 2018 v Ljubljani. Predlagam in menim, da bi moja razstava bila primerna v času poletja v ekspozitivnem prostoru na Ljubljanskem gradu. Za otvoritev te razstave izrecno zahtevam antropologinji ga. Petro Kosi, ker je ona edina primerna za sodelovanje z menoj, (nasploh po tem neljubem dogodku) ali pa kustos Dejan Mehmedovič.
V kolikor mojim zahtevam ne bo ugodeno, bom primoran v zgoraj omenjene odškodninske tožbe ter odškodnino za vsak izgubljen dan ne eksponiranega dneva v Majskem salonu. Primoran bom tudi obvestiti Ministrstvo za kulturo Slovenije in vse ostale ustrezne organe in ustanove.
